Daisy Dukes BBQ was inspired by owner Warren Schierenbeck’s passion for the southern bbq that he discovered living in South Carolina. Throughout the South, tiny smoke shacks appeared on the road to offering with pulled pork sandwiches covered in vinegary slaw, washed down with a Mr Pibb. Back in his native Staten Island, Schierenbeck sought to recreate the same experience by starting Daisy Duke’s.

Naima Rauam is best known for her watercolors of the Fulton Fish Market, South Street Seaport and New York waterfront. Her interest in the Fulton Fish Market began while attending the Art Students League where a class assignment led her to the South Street Seaport. Here she found a life-long subject for her work and an instant attraction to the market’s vitality, dramatic light, nocturnal hours, urban setting, hard-working characters, and fabulous fish. Naima Rauam lives and paints in Manhattan and has maintained a studio at the Seaport since 1983.

Table Tales will be featuring Sunday Gravy along with other seasonal prepared items. Sunday Gravy is a slow braise of pork shoulder and beef in plum tomatoes, garlic and sweet basil, with the addition of tiny meatballs, and hot/sweet Italian sausage. As market fare, we serve Sunday Gravy over macaroni or in a bread boat. Sunday Gravy is also available in jars to take home.
