Her interest in the Fulton Fish Market began while attending the Art Students League where a class assignment led her to the South Street Seaport. Here she found a life-long subject for her work and an instant attraction to the market’s vitality, dramatic light, nocturnal hours, urban setting, hard-working characters, and fabulous fish. Naima Rauam lives and paints in Manhattan and has maintained a studio at the Seaport since 1983.

Table Tales will be featuring Sunday Gravy along with other seasonal prepared items. Sunday Gravy is a slow braise of pork shoulder and beef in plum tomatoes, garlic and sweet basil, with the addition of tiny meatballs, and hot/sweet Italian sausage. As market fare, we serve Sunday Gravy over macaroni or in a bread boat. Sunday Gravy is also available in jars to take home.
